Author & Illustrator
Laura T. Anderson is an illustrator and storyteller inspired by the English countryside, family life and the quiet beauty of everyday moments.Beechwood Tales began with a simple question: ‘Can I write a story?’What started as a small idea quickly flowed onto the page over the course of a few short weeks, bringing to life the village of Beechwood and the Beechmouse family who live there. But soon after, a few major life changes meant the story had to be set aside for a while. Like the mice of Beechwood, the story quietly went into hibernation. When it came time to find an illustrator who could capture the warmth and charm of the story, Laura decided to try illustrating the story herself. What began as a practical decision soon became something she loved. Many evenings were spent sketching late into the night, while other illustrations came to life slowly over a quiet cup of tea by the window, with the light streaming in.The result is a cosy, hand-illustrated world that children and families can return to again and again.

The Spring Festival is the highlight of the year for the mice of Beechwood. Bunting is hung, games are planned, and excitement is in the air! But when a sudden storm ruins all of the preparations, it looks like the festival might be cancelled. Can the mice pull together to save the day?Join the Beechmouse family and their friends as they discover the power of teamwork, kindness and community spirit in this heart-warming tale full of charm, cheer and woodland whimsy. With delightful illustrations by the author, and gentle storytelling, Spring Festival: Beechwood Tales is perfect for young readers and families to enjoy together.
